Dianne Feinstein 1979Feinstein was President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors when Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone were assassinated 27 November 1998. In 2009, Harvey’s nephew Stuart Milk created the Harvey Milk Foundation, which encourages local, regional, national & global organizations to utilize Harvey Milk’s story, style, and coalition building techniques as a platform for furthering the cause of LGBTQ rights. @HMilkFoundation.
